Reminder that the Hyde Park Application will appear tonight, July 14th, at the Loudoun County Commission's Work Session which begins at 6:00pm. Public comments are not permitted at work sessions, however, you may view in person, via their cable or satellite TV provider, or online at Loudoun.gov/meetings and clicking “In progress” once the meeting begins at 6:00pm.

Please review the updated Hyde Park Packet: https://loudoun.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=86&event_id=3440&meta_id=213806.
The updates to the application since the Planning Commission Public Hearing are listed on pages 4 to 7. They include a proffer for a study and signal (if warranted) at the Broadlands Boulevard and Education Court/Stonewheel Way intersection, a reduction of three units to a total of 792, and additional parking spaces in the southwest corner of the proposal.

Hyde Park was approved by the Planning Commission by a vote of 6-2-1.
They removed the pedestrian bridge over the Greenway.
Not sure what the final unit count is.

I also did not attend the meeting, but I heard Commissioner Salmon felt the county shouldn’t use the money being paid to the county from the Developer for this use. He moved to strip it from the proposal and that passed.

I personally think it is a big loss for the county, that says they are trying to fill in the missing bicycle/pedestrian links. If the money doesn’t come from this project, it will never get built.

Thanks! I agree it's a big loss and we will never see it.
