    Hello!

I am a college student home for the summer and interested in giving private instrument lessons over the summer. I am a music education major at James Madison University and this is my second year there. Here are the instruments that I feel comfortable teaching and how much experience I have had with each:

    Woodwinds:
    Flute (7+ years)
    Piccolo (5+ years)
Saxophone (alto, tenor, baritone) (3+ years)
    Oboe (1 year)
    Bassoon (1 year)
    Clarinet (2+ years)

    Strings:
Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass (1 year)

Since I am not a professional, I would feel more comfortable with beginner-intermediate level students. This does not necessarily mean they have to be young - if you are an adult interested in starting one of these instruments I will definitely be happy to help you! It is also helpful if the student already has a method book appropriate to their level (you can get these at the local Melodee Music or Music and Arts) and their own instrument (you can also rent these at those stores I just mentioned).

    Here is my contact information:

I gave flute and saxophone lessons last summer while I was home and it was a lot of fun, so I am really excited to get some more students this summer!

    Thanks for your time!
