Although we are alotted 5 email addresses per household, can those 5 email addreses reside on 5 different computers or do all email accounts need to be accessed from one computer (IP address). It was brought to my attention from someone that the additional computers connected to the server may incur additional charges.

Are you talking about OpenBand email? If so, I believe you can have as many computers as you want connected within your home, with the email configured as you want. Your home has a network router in its OpenBand box (ours is in the garage). As I understand it, being a non-techie, the router gives your home one main IP address for the home. Any devices within your home connect to OpenBand's server through that single point at the router, thus using one IP address as far as the outside world is concerned.
