As long as it remains 'generic', sure!

We can't use any names of minors, etc. But we can discuss anything that is relevant to our community...

    Speckhard,

We like to minimize the amount of 'areas' in the forums so as to not overwhelm users.

Is there not a current area that would fit the type of questions/discussions you would like to add? We/you can add as many 'topics' as you like in each forum area; could that meet your need?

If you feel strongly that a "Parents Corner" forum would be helpful, then by all means let me know and we'll add it. I just want to make sure that you have looked at the current forum areas and not found any of them 'applicable' to what you would like to discuss, before we add it.

    Thanks.

Age 13 is the magic number according to the COPA laws which have yet to be enforced (still fighting in the courts). I think under the age of 13 the site has to be able to filter content for the child, hence why most sites don't 'allow' childern under 13 unless specifically designed for them.

Sure, why couldn't kids use the forums?... it's a free country! I think there are alot worse places they could go on the internet. Of course no kid will come here because it's boring adult stuff where people complain over hospitals and greenway fees and bad food down at the "brick oven" pizzeria.

I believe that it would cause the admins alot more headaches, as they would have to keep an eye to make sure that no 'predators' access these forums to get email addresses, etc.

According to a TV public service ad, kids are now more likely to be approached via the web than any other venue.
