Kindergarten Enrichment: AM and PM classes available to the 2015-2016 school year! 2 , 4 or 5 day options!

Are you looking for a morning or afternoon enrichment program for your kindergartner? Does your child miss the school districts cutoff by a month or two but is ready for more than what another year of tradition preschool can offer? (Children should be 5 yrs old by Feb 1, 2016) This a special class just for those children.

Our classroom is a TREE HOUSE! (inside space available for inclement weather) We will build sun dials, volcanoes, hatch chickens, raise a pig and more! We will explore our world through weekly science experiments.

We will closely following Loudoun County's Kindergarten Curriculum. We will reinforce all the concepts taught in the kindergarten class room through fun hands on activities, games and crafts. We will practice our math skills by playing life size board games; learn about comparing by sorting objects into hula hoops, practice patterns and sequence through building block chains and necklaces etc. Our focus is 4 fold: Reading, Writing, Math and exploring through Science. I take a phonics based approach to learning to read. We will begin the year with a brief letter review, practice recognizing rhymes, counting syllables, identifying beginning and ending sounds etc. Children will be learning how to decode words through picture clues, sounding out and chunking (word families). I will be introducing a new word family (an: tan, fan, van etc) most weeks. Each word family will be reinforced through games, activities and take home readers.

AM Class: 8:15-11:15am, Mon-Thurs , $399 a month * (ask about a 2 day option)
PM Class: 11:30-3pm, Mon-Thurs, $449 a month (ask about a 2 day option)
Pre-K (5 by Feb 1st) AM, PM or Full Day 8:30-3pm, Mon-Thurs, $775 a month
