We live in a Van Metre home that is about 5 years old. Does anyone know if the kitchen cabinets (installed by Mid South I believe) are covered under warranty for paint chipping? I read my homeowners manual and it talks about warranty coverage for warping but it doesn't seem to say anything either way on paint wearing off. Anyone else have a similar problem and make a claim to have it fixed? Or even if not covered under warranty, does anyone know how much it costs to get cabinet doors repainted?

    Thanks.

If you are the original owner .... I would check with the manufacturer which you should find inside the drawers. Guessing Kraftmaid? If so, looks like they are warrantied for as long as you own them! If not Kraftmaid then YMMV. http://www.kraftmaid.com/support/warranty/

If you are not the original owner, then most warranties will not transfer.

Thanks PauleyC. You guessed both correctly -- original owner and Kraftmaid. I'll check out the site you provided.
