    This is the Ashburn League.

It is absolutely amazing to see the growth and popularity of lacrosse in Loudoun. My son started 8 years ago, and at the beginning had to go to Middleburg to play. At that time there was only a 140 kids in the Western Loudoun Lacrosse League. Now there are three leagues, Western, Dulles South and Ashburn. Last I heard the total number of kids playing little league lacrosse in Loudoun is approaching 2,000.

It's a great sport!! I recommend it highly.

Check the Loudoun Parks website or catalog for the weeklong summer daycamp. It's a great introduction to lacrosse, followed by the fall season which is a "second sport" season so it's a lighter schedule than spring. In my experience, this gave a couple of fun shorter seasons to try it before the main season in spring.

My son plays in the DSYS U7 league. Though I haven't been, my husband says there are a number of 5-6 year olds. We went with DSYS (vs the Ashburn League) because we are a Mill Run school; I believe Hillside also feeds into DSYS. HTH!
