Has anyone held a birthday party at Layng's Flower Farm? Or been to one there? I'm thinking of having one there and am looking for some feedback. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I was considering having the party at Cox Farms but while the picnic table rental is only $45, we would still have to pay the $15 admission fee for everyone invited. If you pay for parents, too, that gets very expensive!

We haven't been to a party there, but my kids preschool had a field trip to go on their "nature hike" and they had a blast! They collected things from the woods and made their own habitat in a jar. Everyone had a great time, and we had lunch afterward at the picnic tables. Even I enjoyed the hike, just make sure to bring boots! Oh, and money to buy things for yourself...they had way too much I wanted to bring home.

Haven't been to one at Layng's but we attended one at Great Country a couple years ago. The party was held in a private little barn, the kids got feed for the animals and there was a pony ride and hay ride. I have no clue about the prices but all the kids had a great time.

My boys went to a birthday party at Layng's about two years ago in the summer. It was a lot of fun for them. Lots of playing (a "hunt" in the woods and a hay ride) and planting flowers to bring home. Each kid got a basket, dirt, flowers, mini garden gnomes, flat marbles, etc to decorate their little garden. It was really creative. The boys had a great time.

I know the owners at Layng - and they are a great bunch. I would definately consider it. They do try hard to make sure the kids have a great time

My friend has had her son's birthday party there twice and it has been fantastic. Tractor ride, nature hike, craft, slides. What more could you want? :)

Thank you so much for the feedback. Everything I've heard here and elsewhere has been positive. I'll go by there this morning and see what I need to do to get the ball rolling for a party!

We went yesterday to spend the afternoon with the kids. We had been there last year and they liked the slides and painting the pumpkins. The place is not well maintained and the moon bounce is almost destroyed, but, we figured it is not a big deal. This time however, we had an accident on the hay slide. Nothing serious but a reminder that places without proper maintenance become a safety hazard.

I am writing this post to advise parents to avoid Layng's and go to Temple Hall Farm which is really well organized, properly maintained and well staffed.

I took my two kids to Layngs today after school. It's fairly close by, and I had a coupon for $3 a person admission. I agree that the one big moonbounce looks like it's falling apart, kind of decrepit. Some of the equipment looks old, faded, or maybe just grungy from being in the elements too long, but my kids did not care or notice. They still had a great time and was very excited by the hay ride. For what I paid, I did not expect a lot, only for the kids to have fun. There were signs everywhere that said play at your own risk and for parents to supervise their kids. The slides did not look that bad, similar to other slides I've seen at other farms. We'll have to check out Temple Hall Farm as suggested.
