When I walk out onto my front porch, at any given time I can see up to 6 of those "movable/temporary" basketball goals. Now, that is not really a problem unless you consider that they have not moved since they were erected (some of them 3 years ago). I understand that permanent basketball goals are not allowed to be erected because they detract from the beauty of the neighborhood, well, so do the ones that never get put away. I want to know what the difference is between one that is in the ground with concrete and one that never gets moved. In my eyes I still see the same thing everytime 24x7, irregardless of the method it was erected. There is nothing in the HOA guidelines I can find that can help me with this problem. I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem and/or if there is a loophole in the HOA guidelines that I can look into.
I do understand that the premise of not allowing permanent basketball goals is to keep them from being out there all the time, but that should also apply to the movable units as well. There are just way too many on my street and it is very ugly to look at, even if some of them are see-through.
Dont get me wrong, I love basketball and play all the time, but I think these units should be put away when not in use.
Anyone else having a similar problem?
    Thanks,

    Dwarflord-
Permanent basketball boards are allowed for single family homes, but generally not allowed for townhouses.
A "portable" goal that is left in a "permanent" location must have approval from the Modification Subcommittee.
Under no circumstance are portable goals allowed next to streets.

Hmm, maybe I read the covenants wrong. I thought no Permanent goals were allowed on any homesite.
But this addresses all of the concerns I have about b-ball goals...[^]

I guess now I have to write armstrong management to have them address those "permanent-portable" goals.
    Thanks cliff
