Is anyone going to Friends or Enemies Tour feat. FALL OUT BOY at the 9:30 Club Jan 17th? I'd like to find a partner to go with my daughter. She only bought 1 ticket and I don't want her to go alone.

    PLEASE RSVP!!

I am just trying to be helpful, but could you go with her? How old is she?

Part of me can't help but wonder why she would only buy one ticket - could it be that she already has "someone" to meet there and is not explaining the whole situation? Again, just trying to be helpful... I do not know your daughter but thought it seemed like half the picture.

Of course I can go with her and I plan to but I'd like her to have a friend "by her side". Mom isn't welcome as a "visible partner"...know what I mean?

She'll be driving too and has a great new car...this is gonna cost me twice as much as her to buy a ticket...or 2.

I'm not telling anyone how to parent, but under any circumstance, the internet isn't the best place to be looking for a companion for your children to anything. IMHO, you're asking for trouble.

The last thing I would do is take a "NEW" car anywhere near the 9:30 club. The last time I was there, 8 cars were broken into. Maybe rethink that part and drop them off and pick them up. Just a thought.

I appreciate the replies. As I originally posted, I asked if anyone was going. I was hoping a young lady in our neighborhood might be attending, or perhaps a group of local teens. I also mentioned that I planned to go but wanted to remain in the background.

Thanks for the heads up on the car situation. It looks like we'll end up trying to resell my daughters ticket and just avoid the entire event. It IS difficult to try to allow our teens freedom but spare them difficult situations. My daughter very rarely goes out for anything and wanted very much to see this group perform...she'll just have to wait for a better venue.

    Again, Thanks for the replies.

I promised I wouldn't jump in on this discussion but I can't help it....

I've been to the 9:30 club many, many times. I've never had anything happen to my cars. Yes, it is in a bad neighborhood (I much perfer the old location on F Street) but I've never had any trouble.

The club itself is pretty small and if you were up in the balcony you could keep an eye on your daughter and I'm sure she would meet many like-minded teens there.

If car security is a concern, park at Union Station and take a cab over. Pre-dial the cab company on your cell so that when the show is over you have a cab waiting for you.

Just a suggestion. I'd hate to have a teen miss a cool show like FOB at the 9:30 club.

    Don't ask, I can't go.....
