Daughter has been plagued with a weak ankle ever since she jumped off a small ledge and landed wrong. She's had x-ray and therapy a year or so ago.

It lights up when she marches in band, but more reccently when rowing crew, she had to tape her ankle the entire time.
Now she's at the first of two rowing camps up in Penn and NJ. They have two hours of practice in the am and two in the late afternoon, and both practice times have a 2 mile run. As of the second day, she had to tell the coach who recruits for Penn, that her ankle was to weak to continue running, so they've told her to get on the erg for 10 mins twice a day in lieu of running.

She'll be drum major this fall, and may have to run around a bit, and Captain of the women's crew team in ths spring. if she is to get a recruiting offer and before school begins, I feel we need to take her to a really good sports medicine doctor (rather than the orthopedist she went to) the last week of July before band camp begins.

Any reccomendations will be greatly appreciated.

When our daughter broke her leg, we were referred to National Sports Medicine Institute in Lansdowne. (Personally, I liked Dr. David better than Dr. Timothy, but that is solely based on bedside manner.)

They have a very detailed website where you can read about both docs: http://www.nationalsportsmed.com/

I've had good experiences with Dr. David Novak with Commonwealth Orthopedics in Fair Oaks. He has been team doctor for the Redskins and DC United.

I had a good experience with Andrew Dombek here in Ashburn:

He had patients of all ages, but did have several highschool athletes. He definitely takes a personal approach.
