I liked Perfectly Female. It's an all female practice and they were very responsive when I had my baby (my first). They have practices in Reston (by Reston Hospital) and Ashburn (in the Professional Plaza bldg across from Giant). Number is 703-726-9000 for their Ashburn office. Good luck!

I second Perfectly Female. I have been going there since 2002 and mostly see Dr. Patel.

There was a similar forum on here recently. You may want to do a search. I remember there being a lot of responses to it (I think :)).

I also go to Perfectly Female. Dr. Patel is great. She's delivered a handful of my friends babies and is simply wonderful. She's been great through a difficult situation with a friend too. Highly recommend them.

Hi. I am new to the area and just found out I am pregnant. These threads are very helpful and I would like to hear your input. Does anyone care to add to or update this thread with (recent) recommendations for OB and hospital to deliver my baby?

I am pregnant with my 2nd and am going to Perfectly Female also. Dr. Felluca delivered my first in 2002 and I have seen all 4 doctors with this pregnancy. They are all wonderful. They have offices in Ashburn and Herndon and deliver at Reston and Fair Oaks. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I used Loudoun Physicians for Women when I had my 2nd child 5 months ago and also when we lost a baby almost two years ago.

All of the doctors were wonderful - both with handling a loss and with the subsequent high risk pregnancy.

I've seen all of the doctors except for Dr. McLeod and there were never any problems when I needed to be seen last minute for emergencies. My daughter was delivered by Dr. Willoughby but I can also vouch for Drs. Brown, Wever and Allen.

    Their website is http://www.lpfw.yourmd.com/

I go to Perfectly Female as well and I highly recommend Dr. Patel. She was great during my last pregnancy she caught a life threatening complication and gave me the option to transfer/deliver at Fairfax. I choose Fairfax due to the NICU being better able to handle the baby being 10 weeks early. She also performed surgery on me last summer and I continue to go to her. They have offices in Ashburn and the new Reston Medical Plaza next to the hospital.

I have been very happy with her and so have all of he friends and family I have refered there. She works with Reston, fairOaks and Loudound hospital. I had my boys at Reston Hospital Center. Bummer. Just called Perfectly Female and was told they're not accepting new patients.

I had both of my girls with Women Physicians of Northern Virginia and had wonderful experiences both times. They deliver at Reston Hospital, which I also really liked. In fact, Reston remodeled their maternity wing in between my two deliveries and now all of their post-partum room are private.

They have offices in Ashburn (by the Ashburn Village Giant), Fairfax, and Reston. Here's their web site: http://www.womenphysicians.org/index.htm

Loudoun OBGYN, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Choudry there are great. They are located at and deliver at Loudon Hospital, which is much quieter and cozier than Reston.

Dr. Neil Foster over at the Loudoun Professional Offices adjacent to the hospital is FANTASTIC. I was referred by several friends, and I can't say enough great things about him. He delivers at Loudoun, not sure about other area hospitals.

I had 2 babies at the Birthing Inn, and both were great experiences: fantastic nurses, new facilities, progressive about breastfeeding.

    Good luck!

I am switching to The Birthing Inn at 31 weeks because I just found out that Reston does not allow doulas. I thought that was very strange and I'm not cool with being told who I can have as support. It really made me feel like they don't want me to be in control of my own birth.

I also use perfectly female, and always saw Dr. Patel. Does anyone else who uses this facility know if Dr. Patel left permanently to care for her new baby, or if she went somewhere else? I tried to make an appt. with her recently, and a receptionist mentioned that she was now working somewhere else, but quickly zipped her lips after that, and everyone else I've asked there says she is now a full time mom and not practicing anywhere. I really liked her, and would like to continue to see her if anyone knows anything...?

I would love to know as well. I received the "she is staying at home and is a full time mom" Doesn't quite make sense to me. Why would you become a doctor and once you have a practice built up decide to stay at home....

I used to go to Drs Rausch and Cauble at Physicians for ObGyn Care in Reston. I left them but right before I left they said they had a new doctor joining the practice that I should see. I think that was the name. I could be wrong but try them. 703.834.6244.
