Many of you already know me, but I just wanted to introduce my self as a new neighborhood watch chair. Donna Fortier has decided to step down from the neighborhood watch committee and I am going to be stepping in to replace her.
Right now I am in the process of setting up a informational meeting with the Sheriff's office on Child safety that is tentatively scheduled for May 21st at 7:30 PM. If anyone has any other ideas of topics they feel should be discussed please feel free to email them to me as well as any other concerns you see in the neighborhood.

I am looking forward to working with you in keeping Broadlands a safe secure place to live.

    Staci

While not 'directly' related to Neighborhood Watch, I think something that would add value to a lot of Broadlands residents would be to organize one of those 'Child Car Seat' safety sessions either in the parking lot at the Nature Center or Community Center. Folks could drive there during the event, and members of the fire department and/or Sheriff's office, etc, could be present to 'inspect' the installation of the seat and make sure it's properly secured. I routinely hear that over 50% of all Child Safety Restraints are improperly installed. With vacation season just around the corner, I believe this could be a great service to all our residents.

Staci, thank you for taking over the chair for Neighborhood Watch. I, as well as many other Broadlands residents, appreciate all the time you spend making this community a better place for all of us.

You can go to red rum drive where the FD is and get your seat checked there as well.
