    *****UPDATE******
We didn't get enough people for a private party, so this is going to be switched to just a walk on day at Pevs. You can get the information from the web link below on location, pricing, etc. So come on out and have a day of fun!

Paintball! Saturday the 28th at Pevs@AG! All are welcome, meet at the park. Registration begins at 9am.
    *****UPDATE******

Would anyone be interesting in doing a group paintball event at either the nearby Virginia Adventure Games, Hogback Mountain or Pevs@AG? (Edit: We're looking at Aug 28th as the date.) Unless major objections, we're going to Pevs@AG.

This will be a Broadlands private group playing. We will need at least 20 people. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by their parent with their first visit to to the Pevs park (their rules).

Please email me at hornerjo@yahoo.com if you want to attend the paintball day. I need exact numbers for registration. Please email with the # and ages of those (if under 18) who plan on going. Please respond by Sat, 21 Aug.

    Thanks!

    John
    (edit to add Pevs@AG)

I am interested also. And I know of several others that would probably jump in also. We usually play at Pev's, but would be open to a different field.

I've never been to Pev's. They look pretty good! We'll just need to keep it even, no mega $1,000 Angel markers or anything.

Glad you pointed out Pevs. Scanned their sites, read some reviews. They look a lot safer than VAG, and Hogback is good but a longer drive out.

I'm in too, depending on schedule.

Let's make sure to schedule it well in advance so that the wives can't say "I'm scrapbooking with the ladies that weekend!" :)

My two sons (14 & 10) and I would love to try it, as long as my work schedule permits.

My 2 sons (ages 13 and 10) would like to go too. Depending on the schedule and the cost count us in. (Any idea how much it costs)?

for those that have not played paintball before, 100 paintballs can last about 5 minutes if you have a happy trigger finger in an intense battle, or you can go for hours, if you are a "sniper" with good aim. On average, my son and I probably use about 1000 each for a full day of fun.

NOTE: Paint (Note: ALL PLAYERS RENTING EQUIPMENT MUST USE FIELD PAINT)

    Cases of 2000 Paintballs $65.00
    1/2 case of 1000 Paintballs $40.00
    Bags of 500 Paintballs $25.00

We're looking at August 28th so far. We've already missed the deadline for the July newsletter and we'll need time to for people to get the one in August. Plus it should be cooler then outside.

    I am also interested.

I have played a few times at Virginia Adventure Games. I like how close they are, but am not impressed with their organizational skills. The fields and games they have are a lot of fun with the right amount of people, but I don't have experience with other fields to compare.

I am open to any of the suggested fields. Please keep me posted.

    Thanks!
    Brian

    John:

If we have our own equipment and paint (we are Pev's regular attendees), do you still want us to register for the event? Are we going to be in a separate group, or part of the "walk-ons"?

No, thats fine. Just no $1000 guns or anything. I'd just like to keep everything even (about the same class of guns that you can rent). We'll split the veterans up anyhow to help each side out.

Oh and we're a private group, but I gotta have numbers of people that are going.
