    My company is looking to hire a proposal manager in our Reston office, please let me know if you are interested.

    Job Responsibilities


    • Manages the development and production of proposals and oral presentations
    • Prepares and manages proposal production schedule, to include coordinating final production, word processing, graphics, and copy services personnel
    • Analyzes government solicitations, identifies response requirements, and prepares detailed proposal response outlines, templates, and compliance matrices in compliance with government agency requirements
    • Prepares the proposal schedule, sets up conference calls and meetings, and plans and coordinates required resources for writing and development of the proposal deliverable
    • Leads effective, results driven, kick-off, status, strategy, and review meetings
    • Helps develop and implement strategic proposal win themes and discriminators
    • Uses automated proposal collaboration and document management tools
    Job Overview:
    • The Proposal Manager manages all phases of the proposal development process in response to government requests for proposals (RFP). The Proposal Manager assists in the identification of proposal opportunities; manages all aspects of proposal preparation, revision, and submission; leads strategy meetings, and coordinates iterative reviews.
    Education / Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (Business, Communications, English, Journalism, or related major)
    • Formal proposal training; APMP accreditation preferred
    • No less than 5 years successful proposal management experience in a government contractor environment, including supervision and management
    • Experience with government Federal and state government RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.
    • Experience with the complete proposal process from kick-off to delivery
    • Ability to work independently and still function effectively as a member of a team
    • Expert in Microsoft Office software and SharePoint
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
    • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and composition as well as writing, editing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
