    Hi folks.

A friend of mine is getting married in August and needs to get her wedding gown cleaned and steamed. Although many drycleaning establishments advertise that they do wedding gowns, you'll understand my reluctance to go to just any "joe-blow" for this.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to take the gown?

    Thanks.

I highly recommend the Elden Street cleaners in old town Herndon (across from the Ice House Cafe on Elden). They were able to get every stain out of my dress and were comprably priced (there were lots - we were married on the beach!). I chose them because they do their work in-house and don't vend that out. I think it cost $100 or $125, which is pretty standard.

Wow - why wouldn't the place do that where she purchased her gown??? Shouldn't be her responsibility to clean her gown BEFORE the wedding....
