The second Gibbs era has been baffling. In his first run here, I always felt like he was in control and on top of things. This go-round he often appears clueless, mismanaging the clock, wasting timeouts, making challenges at inoppurtune times or when a replay clearly shows that a challenge is not warranted (and why do we hear every week that the Redskins are having problems with on-field communcications -- does this happen to other teams ?).

Hey Romo is and going to be one of the best just a bit young, and not quite seasoned. He just signed a 65 million dollar contract so the cowboys must have big time faith in him:)

Can't wait for the cowboys getting a similar score against the redskins in a few weeks;)

The Cowboys also have faith in TO :eww:

Most of the time, Romo does look good (a bit like a young Favre) but then there are those games (see Buffalo on Monday night) when he apparently forgets which team he is playing for and starts throwing the ball to the other guys (5 interceptions, with another one which was dropped which would have clinched the win for the Bills).

As for the Cowboys vs. the Redskins, I believe that the Cowboys are a little bit better but would still expect that they will split with each winning at home. The best these teams can hope for is that they can survive a mediocre NFC, only to get hammered by the Pats or Colts in the Super Bowl.

Romo will be good as long as Dallas has one of the premiere O-lines in the game. Just about any quaterback would success with that line!

I think we forget that they also have a superior offensive line, coaching and organization...not to mention they actually play as a team, have confidence, and execute on the field. So even with switching the QB's, the Patriots are better.

sore losers :shakehead: i'm actually sick of boston area teams winning, but i have great respect for excellence. and they do everything with excellence (except of course getting away with cheating).

when you have a linebacker sacking the QB, causing fumbles AND catching TD passes (by the way, Vrabel has more TD's this year than ALL the Redskins wide receivers and tight ends put together, sad), that's pretty cool.

The Pats Offensive Line is better than the patchwork O-Line that the Skins are currently fielding, but I don't know that it is any better than the Skins Opening Day O-Line. I agree, the coaching and organization of the Pats is clearly superior to that of the Redskins -- for starters, they have an owner who lets the football people make the football decisions (does anybody believe that to be the case with the Skins ?). As for confidence and execution, it is mostly about Brady -- the coaches and the players know that he is going to make the right decisions and he is incredibly accurate. The quality of play at the QB position in the NFL is atrocious, so having a gem like Brady or Manning means the difference between mediocrity and winning a Super Bowl. How do you think the Pats would fare if Brady were hurt and they had to finish the season with Matt Cassell (or I'll give you any starting QB in the league other than Manning, Romo, Favre and maybe Brees and Roethlisberger). My guess is that they would limp into the playoffs (they've essentially clinched their division half-way into the season) and exit quickly.

May be they want to prove that they can win even when not cheating and that is the reason they want to run up the score and embarass you more!!!

Snyder is just as much of a fan of the Redskins as anyone else. He grew worshiping the team. He would do anything he could or anything he thought was right to put the team in the best position to win. Unfortunately, that is the problem. When he first bought the team he treated it as a fantasy football team and that didn't work. He has learned a few things over the years. but he needs to hire a football person to run the team and I'm not talking about his boy Vinny. I would have thought that Snyder would have modeled himself after the late, great JKC and just sign the checks. It appears that he feels the need to be involved with everything. To an extent I can't blame him. If I paid that much money, I would want to be involved to, but if he would handle the business/marketing end and let someone else run the team I think he would actually end up making much more money and possibly even win a championship or two.

And that's why I call Snyder arrogant. He needs to step down from trying to control the football team and step aside and let an expert actually run the team. I 'm surprised that hasn't dawned on him. I totally understand this is a dream for him - owning the Redskins, but you have to face reality and the reality is...what he's now doing isn't working period...and it hasn't been. I would have no objections to him as an owner...if only he would step aside and let an expert run the team. He's hasn't been doing that and I don't know if he ever will.

Um, Snyder brought in Gibbs, who is supposed to be a genius. He has continued to make terrible personnel moves. I like that Snyder is willing to pony up the money, but as we've seen with the Yankees for the past 7 years, you simply can't buy a championship team by loading up on overpaid free agents while squandering your draft choices.

I geuss you didn't catch my eyeroll.

I love football. Watching the Patriots play this year has been a joy. I have no favorite team at this point in my life but love to watch the game played at the level the Pats are playing. I wish I could see more Colts games as well.

Monday night was awesome watching Favre throw those bombs. It takes me back to his hey day.

Now I sound like Lee rambling on!!

the fact favre has basically been reborn is amazing to me. he was such in the dumps. I know he had personal problems with (was it his father?) passing, etc.. but man he seemed like someone with a job only because of his name and he's really rebounded!
