Replace vinyl siding with cement fiber?

    I am considering replacing my vinyl siding with cement fiber board (Hardiplank). Would there be an issue with the review committee if all the other houses in the neighborhood have vinyl?

    Has anybody ever done this?

    Make certain your contractor knows what they are doing. As my co-worker said; "Your Hardiplank does WHAT in a high wind?????"
