Reputation

    I’m curious what the little box for “Reputation” means. Can anyone explain it for me?

    Its a feature of the forums which I have enabled right now but have not really pushed.

    Its a concept where users give positive or negative reputation to other users based on their posts. See the scale icon in the banner of the top of the post? Click on it and you can see what I mean. When users give you reputation, they add to your rep score. How much 'power' a user has to influence the score of another user is based on several factors.. how much score they have.. how much seniority they have.. etc.

    Its a feature of the software that some boards use and others don't. It can be misused and results get skewed. Some people like it.. some hate it. I haven't put much time/effort into packaging it up nice for our application here in the community, but have left it enabled for now.

    Is there somewhere that tells us what the different colors mean, or "levels" are?

    not laid out for you.. but just use your imagination.. the higher the score.. the friendlier the text :)

    Just mouse over the icon for the txt
