It can be influenced by the dog's diet and overall health. Our dog, when we first got her could have been used as an Agent Orange dispenser. She was killing our lawn.

When we moved her from a processed diet to a more raw diet, no more problems.

Another "cause" of yellow grass is the density of pee. If several dogs make contributions that can really mess up a lawn.

This is why I was asking if someone knew of a product I could spray where my dog pees to neutralize the chemicals so that if another dog pees where my dog pees (It is a doggie thing) on our neighbour's lawn (if I allowed my dog to pee in a neighbour's lawn) the damage can be mitigated.

There are chemicals you can put in your dog's water that is supposed to take care of this, but I don't know how healthy it is for the dog.

The less chemicals in your dog the better.....we lost our dog to too many vaccines and too many chemicals......now we're totally different with our present dog. We used to use GreenUm on our lawn that my hubby sprayed after our male dog peed and that seemed to help. Not sure they still make that though, we don't have the problem anymore.

i sure hope ppl don't resort to putting dangerous poisons in their yards to keep dogs off the lawn- if it can kill a dog i would bet it could kill a kid.
