Lost Shepherd/Retriever Mix in Southern Walk

Answers to Chance and is VERY shy. He was lost back in 2007 for 15 days before we found him. Ear infection gone bad and now he's panicing. Last seen at the end of the court on Highview Trail Place around 12pm today. PLEASE HELP AND CALL ME AT 703.517.1103 IF YOU SEE HIM.

 

i am SO sorry to hear that! Please let Woofies know they walk loads of dogs in Ashburn and have a good shot at spotting him. I will also watch for him... good luck finding him.

He's shy but will he respond to other dogs? His name? A treat? Or will he take off?

 

Please help us locate him. No, he is not microchipped and he is up to date on ALL shots.

 

Probably won't respond to that. His name is chance. As I said, we've been through this before with him. Even hired a professional dog tracker to help locate him. She said the BEST thing is to get on the ground so you're not a threat and I'm sure a treat wouldn't hurt. His name is Chance. May respond to "piece of meat", "go for ride" or something like that. Thanks for your help!

 

He is shy, but will approach other dogs. If there are people around he will take off. He is petrified of people. His treat word is "biscuit" or "piece meat".

WOO HOO!!! I'm so glad!

 

So do we! A HUGE shout out to Ozgood and Marianne's daughter...she's the one who spotted him at the top of the court again. A construction worker saw him heading up Ridgeway and she saw him when she went to take the neighbor's dogs and son for a walk. Then my father and our au pair got a hold of him.

Also, a huge shout out to the UPS Store in Broadlands. I had already had 100 fliers printed up to start hanging up in the area and the store manager (I believe that's who I was talking to) had everything ready for me to pick up 2 hours before it was originally due and he offered to hang a sign in their window for us as well. Thankfully he didn't have to do that because I got the call that our dog was found just as I was picking up the fliers.

So, thank you neighbors, thank you construction worker, thank you UPS Store, and thank you neighbor's nanny for helping us get Chance home again.

 

I'm so glad Kayla was able to help. He is such a beautiful dog. I hope he feels better soon.
