Maybe the Cowgirls just haven't played anyone good this year (except for the Patriots).

Is it me or does it sound like there are A LOT of Skins' fans in Dallas? I though I heard some loud COOOOOOOOOLLLEEYYY chants in the first half. And some cheering on that interception (which may be overturned). Just hope they don't fold once again in the 4Q.

Too bad an excellent performance by Campbell and some aggressive play calling (finally!) is being ruined by the swiss cheese secondary. Have they considered covering that Owens guy? He's kinda good.

Swiss cheese? They are missing 2 starters, one a pro bowler. I am sure Taylor would have made quite a difference today.

No excuses, T8erman. You have to cover T.O. Period.

At least it was a GOOD...GREAT game. I never thought the Redskins would have made it this close against the Cowboys. I'll take this game being close over losing the close games to the Eagles, Packers and Giants. 5-5...going to be a TOUGH stretch run with the Giants and Cowboys on the horizon.

Gotta love the way Jason Campbell played. Hope they continue to let him throw the ball and be aggressive.

He REALLY looked good didn't he. Worth the loss of future picks to get this guy.

If that if the best your "Boys" can do against an injury depleted team AT home, then I do not see Dallas threatening to WIN the Super Bowl. They may make it in a weak NFC but I do not see them beating NE or Indy in any way, shape or form.

Until it mattered the most. What an AWFUL pick he threw at the end.

AWFUL??? That was against his body on the run. I hardly think that was "awful". Tough through and nice jump by Williams. Campbell played a GREAT game. As good as can be expected against an 8-1 team.

It was the defensive breakdowns and inability to cover T.O. that lost them the game, not Campbell.

And of course this is not hand grenades where close counts, either you win or you don't.

I agree Dallas will not win the super bowl if they keep playing like this.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think Campbell had one of is best games, if not best yet. But that was still an AWFUL pick. With the game on the line, he had scambled away nicely and there was absolutely zippy pressure and NO ONE in front of him when he threw it. Heck, he might have been able to run for the first down or more.

And yes, the defense was the issue. They were very Jekyll-Hyde like today. Great one series and then awful the next, especially in the 2nd half.

I felt he should have run. He had an opening and a blocker in front of him. I don't believe in moral victories, but hopefully they can gain some confidence.

Moral victories and confidence don't get you into the playoffs! They need wins. So let's look at the playoff picture. 6 teams from the NFC make it. The 4 division winners are likely:

    NFC East Cowgirls
    NFC North Packers
    NFC South Tampa Bay
    NFC West Seahawks

That leaves two spots open. The other Wild Card teams that have a shot are:
    Giants 7-3
    Lions 6-4
Cardinals, Eagles and Skins are 5-5
There are a couple teams at 4-5.

Remaining games are at Tampa Bay, vs. Bills, vs. Bears, at Giants, at Vikings, vs. Cowgirls. Giants play the same teams, except they get the Patriots and Eagles instead of the Bucs and Cowgirls. Lions have a tough schedule.

If the Skins go 4-2 the rest of the way, that puts them at 9-7. The Lions would have to go 3-3 (Skins would win tiebreaker) for us to sneak in...but that assumes no other 5-5/4-5 teams go 5-1. Lucky the NFC is weak.

So is it realistic to think the Skins can go 5-1 the rest of the way to make the playoffs?

You must be a die-hard skins fan....with the melt downs in the 4th quarter you still believe they can go 5-1? Defense gotta step up....

Actually, I'm not. It's what keeps me objective around here with all the homers! Actually, most of the season it's been the offense which Gibbs has put on a leash in the second half of the game that has cost them. Nice to see them open it up and let Campbell use his legs and arm.

But, yeah, I think they are toast partly because their mentality is one of mediocrity.
