Anyone see the fair amount of smoke south of Broadlands today (4/24) between 2:30 & 3:00?

We were near Reston, headed west on the toll road when we first saw it. As we got closer to home (on the Greenway), it seemed just a little south of the water towers in Brambleton. Going down Claiborne into the Broadlands, the smoke was a little to the left in the distance.

There was a controlled burn of an old house off of Belmont Ridge Road, just north of the new high school. We drove by it on the way to the Chantilly Costco.

Actually, there were two houses burned to clear the area for future sections of Brambleton. The fire department used it as a training exercise. The Brambleton HOA sent an email out Friday to residents about it.

is the chantilly costco less of a zoo than the one in sterling I just joined the sterling one and am tempted to cancel just because of the crowds... I'd rather go to costco than Sams Club?Walmart, but the place is always packed when I go :(

LEESBURG Costco. That that far. Lines are short and not too crowded. I think the town adds an additional .5% tax.

We love the Chantilly Costco. When they first opened, it was never crazy. It's gotten a little busier over the past several months, but it's still better than Sterling. Plus, a few restaurants, etc. have poppsed up around it. And there is a Target next door. If you joined in Sterling, you are free to go to any of the locations.

Leesburg is nice too and they have a Costco gas station to boot.
