I waited in line at 7:30 AM and they gave out tickets. They only had 64 of each model. They sold out by 8 AM. They said there would be no more shipments.

Yes some Best Buy stores received shipments today. I saw one person online say Matinsburg still had 30 and I called and they were gone. I called Leesburg and Sterling with no luck. Early risers won out this morning.

seems like this keeps dragging... and I keep looking just in case. HP seems to still indicate that more are coming but I hate to hope. I know they are selling on Craigslist for about $100 profit but I am not that excited.... thinking I may just get the iPad2 and be done with it.

So...I finally received a confirmation email today acknowledging my order of the 16g and 32g Touchpads. "you're order will be fulfilled in 6 to 8 weeks"!!!!! Seriously?
Was supposed to ship within 5 days of order, but now they are making more to fulfill the orders they received.

Maybe I'll have them by Thanksgiving.

okay - need some advice.
I ended up buying a laptop this weekend, because I had not received the Touchpad yet.

Of course, as fate would have it, I received the email notification this morning of their intent to ship them, and I have 5 days to cancel.

Question is - now that I just bought a laptop yesterday, which I was going to not need due to getting the Touchpad - do I keep the Touchpad orders or cancel them? I ultimately want(ed) an ipad2, but bought the Touchpads due to the price.

Anyone have both tablet and laptop? What's your take on each one? Do I need both?

Keep the Touchpads when they show up and maybe you can sell them here on the forum if you decide you prefer the laptop.
