I was taking a day off from work and walking around Broadlands to enjoy the weather and guess who I ran into ... Police officer with a radar GUN !!

What a delight ... I had to walk up to him and thank him ... ( at which point he told me many many homeowners did the exact same thing )

He was on Stone Hollow less than 30 minutes and had ticketed three cars !! Whooo Hooo !! Maybe he will move to Ridgeway Drive next !! I realize this will not stop the habitual speeding cars but it is a start ...

That is fantastic news. I went to several holiday gatherings at neighbors' houses this weekend, and this topic came up multiple times during conversation. It didn't sound like anyone had convinced the police to get involved, but obviously someone succeeded. Thank you to all the residents that placed phone calls/wrote letters and pursued this.

He needs to come to the Hillside school zone on Claiborne during blinking 25mph times. Is sad how many folks disregard and zoom right thru the school zone.

I agree completely - one day I had someone fly by me on Claiborne and when I made it to the school to drop off my son we saw the person get out of the car - turned out she was a sub.

Ridgeway/Stone Hollow are two of the streets that we've reported several times to the Deputy that attends our HOA meetings.

Totally agree. One day recently I saw the bus from the school/daycare on Waxpool (sorry- don't remember the name! The one right next to the church at the intersection of Waxpool and Claiborne) go flying through at 45mph when it was flashing 25mph. I have been meaning to call them to let them know that they should talk to their drivers about speeding!

A couple of weeks ago they were doing radar in the Hillside school zone ... had several cars pulled over at once when I drove by there.

I much prefer the little "A frame" plastic signs on Stone Hollow. They are supposed to look like a child, but they look like turtles to me. Probably because they are green. Anyway, please dont put them in the middle of the street and pick them up at night when your kids are not busy playing in the street.

Yeah! Ridgeway - so you want me to email you the dist of cars and plate numbers (especially) the ones we witness that ignore the stop signs at Sunston & Ridgeway, Claiborne & Ridgeway?

    Let us know.

I think that is the one I call "Mr. Slow"

Have not seen them for a while. I always enjoy going 25MPH with the engine at about 7500RPM when I pass Mr. Slow-- this will be much more fun if I get a Tubi exhaust :)
