I have a 3 year old short-hair orange tabby cat. She is really sweet and clean lady. We have adopted her 3 years ago from a shelter. Recently we had a baby and our baby has started reacting to the cat (developed an allergy) so we are looking for a new loving house for her, we would hate to give her back to a shelter. The cat is playful but gentle, loves to cuddle, gets along well with kids and adults. Let me know if you are interested.

I don't know about that. She has never probably seen a dog in her life - we've never had one and she has never been outside.
Forgot to mention: she is up to date with all of her vaccinations and we will give all of her items away (scratching post, toys, little cat house etc. )

Out cats had never seen a dog until Keeva. It takes some work but they will (after time) become paymates.

    By "playmates" I mean "targets."

Just have a safe place the cat can jump to that the dog cannot get to and you will be kind of OK.

Both of my babies went through a short phase where they seemed sniffly and sneezy from the cat but it went away and was just a phase (probably more something seasonal). Have you had the child get a blood test to see if there's a true cat allergy and how severe? It might be something seasonal affecting them. We saw allergist Dr. Wasan in Lansdowne, she's good with children.

Is she still available? We are interested in coming to see her.

Kitty is still with us. How do we get in touch. Can I e-mail you or is there a way I can send you a private message here on the forum.
