If you have a teen that attends Stone Bridge HS, drives a dark Audi with the word "SWAG" on the back right hand side, you may want to remind your child that driving 60mph down Claiborne and weaving in and out of traffic to avoid being behind folks that ARE driving the speed limit, is probably not the safest way to get to school.

Wait, isn't 60 the new 45? That's seems to be the norm on Claiborne.

I read "weaving" as driving aggressively. Thank you for bringing it up, it takes a village.

Just a thought...but you could post this on Ashburn Farm Facebook, too. As a parent I'd be grateful to know before something bad happens.

If you have a plate, you can either call LCSO or report the incident below.

Reckless driving in VA has very steep consequences to include jail time.

If you report it below, the plate goes on the "naughty" list and when they are pulled over, the info will come up. Cop is less likely to give them a break if they see a lengthy complaint list.

There was one time when I was driving down Claiborne, and two teenagers were racing each other down the road, passed me at high speed and were weaving in and out of traffic. I called the police (that's the beauty of bluetooth in the car). Luckily I caught up to them at the next traffic light, which unfortunately for them, was red. I read off the plates, make and model. The police said that they were going to be paying a visit to their homes. Don't know if they acually did, but it was nice to hear that they took me seriously.

They most likely did pay them a visit. Unfortunately they can not ticket them as they did not witness the traffic offense. The LCSO has been very helpful in these situations.
