The Loudoun Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing and attempted robbery that occurred Saturday night in Sterling.

Around 10:30 PM deputies were called by personnel from the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital, after a 17-year-old victim walked into the emergency room with a stab wound to his arm.

The victim told investigators around 10 PM he was walking and playing a handheld video game system in the area of the 22300 block of Sterling Boulevard. He heard a voice behind him who asked to see the game system. The victim stated an unknown suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

The victim then contacted friends to take him to the hospital.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build. He was described as wearing all dark clothing at the time of the incident.

If you have information about this incident or the possible identity of the suspect you are asked to contact Investigator A. Harper of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. If the caller wishes to remain anonymous they are asked to contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
