If she did "back her minivan in between the columns" perpendicular to the building and under the hangover then that's a bit much. If she just pulled up to the side it's a bit lazy but I guess not completely out of the range of acceptable. Still, parking is seldom a problem there so what's a few feet to a parking space unless it's snowing, hailing, or raining?

Maybe you had to be there and see it. I was there last week and a grown man under 40 was parked in about the 3rd spot down on that side and left his cart in a parking space. Freaking unbelievable - no. Thoughtless - yes.

    I don't know if it's been said....

Pulling out of the Target/Wegman's shopping center and heading west on Waxpool (where the turn lane has a stoplight). The last two times I have been sitting in that turn lane, and waited for two or three light cycles, a car has gone in the lane next to the our looooooooong line and made a right turn around the stoplight when it turns green. They don't put their blinker on and then when the turn lane has the green light you're surprised to see a car coming at you, because there shouldn't be one.

... makes me wish I had a chocolate milkshake to throw at the car (this is my fantasy road rage revenge). :redmad:

I've seen that before and so when I'm in the turn lane and it's my turn to go I always look over to see if some selfish jerk is turning right from the straight lane. Idgits.

I walk my daughter to Hillside every morning just before the doors open, so there's no crossing guard at the crosswalk just as you enter the parking lot. At least 3 times a week, there's someone who's in such a hurry to get into the drop-off line that they deem it acceptable to totally block the crosswalk with their car. So, parents and kids walking and crossing that road now need to go around the car, because it's much more important for these people to be as close as possible to the car in front of them, because the chances are so high that someone will decide to cut in front of them (being sarcastic here...)

Simple request - Don't block the crosswalks, ESPECIALLY on school grounds!

oohh! I have to add-on to this one! I was walking up yesterday afternoon to meet my daughter and the car pick-up line was already out to Ellzey. An oblivious lady stopped her giant SUV in the crosswalk and I couldn't get across the street with my stroller. She was also so close to the curb that I couldn't push the stroller down the ramp. Thankfully the person behind her stopped and made sure we had room to get off the curb and cross. (The crossing guard couldn't even see us because of her giant vehicle)

I am so sick of my neighbor letting their dog bark until 1:30AM and again this morning at 6AM. The annoying yappy bark is driving me nuts. Your lack of consideration is effecting the sleeping pattern of my entire family, bring your FREAKING DOG in.

Yard Waste Day Is MONDAY! And, please, please correct me if I am wrong, but anything being put out for Patriot Disposal is to be put out no earlier than 5pm or 6pm the day before and NO Earlier!!! (and, personally, I think that is too early)
The family across the street from me did their yard work on Monday, Columbus Day, they very neatly packaged it up in Costco yard waste bags and very neatly sat ALL 4 of them at their curb that afternoon, Monday - Columbus Day. Needless to say I looked at them for 7 days!!!!!
Another neighbor across the street is fortunate enough to have Friday afternoons off and so spends it doing his yard work - then out goes the lawn debris bags, on the curb, sitting from Friday afternoon until Monday morning!!!!
Why is this allowed to go on? I've lived here for 6 years. I see it all over the neighborhood!!!!
Whu!!! Finally got that out of my system!!!
    Thanks for listening!!!

While I agree, I don't like to see the bags of trash / lawn waste sitting there any more than the next person, but if that's the worst thing you have about living in Broadlands, you have it pretty good! It's not driving down your home price, so just relax. Maybe inform your neighbors of the rules, talk to them, maybe they don't know!

Feel free to do any of the following:

    1) Talk to your neighbors.
    2) File a complaint with the HOA.
    3) Persuade the HOA to hire full-time trash enforcement.

Isn't the point, if there is one, of this thread is to be a place where you can let something UNSAID off your chest? Something bothers you. It's not the worst thing in your life by a long shot, not enough to start WWIII with your neighbors, not even bad enough to even mention it to your neighbors. But it bugs you.

So come here and spill it but everyone jumps on you for talking about a petty problem. Maybe "unsaid" is going to end up staying "unsaid" after all.

IMHO...I don't understand how everyone in the US/World has become so Overly Sensitve to everything these days. I guess Politeness took the furthest back seat, when social media became de riguer.

hey. if YOU ask ME a questions because YOU don't know the answer- how about you shut up and let me answer instead of interrupting me with incorrectly guessing what YOU think the answer might be???

Well, that's because I don't really care about your answers. I just loved hearing my voice ask the questions and further loved it when I took the opportunity to interrupt you. Don't you understand that? Right, of course you do.

Stop taking a perfectly good HOA and trying to ruin it. If you disagree with the way things are done, feel free to try to change things. But do not slander and liable individuals just because they do things in a way with which you disagree. You can disagree with people without accusing them of doing things that are illegal just to get your way. Everyone has a different point of view. Don't bring down a community and people in volunteer positions out of spite.

State your own views and people will either agree or disagree with you. Don't be dirty or underhanded in the name of exposing the truth. The truth is that people volunteer to do things and do them the best they can with the resources at hand. These volunteers are not deliberately misleading the public and are not power hungry, evil leaders. Thank you so much for dragging our community into the mud.

first, to the dump truck going *at least* 65 down clairborne this morning - really????? did you somehow miss the fact that you're not on a highway!?

second, the holiday decorations at the broadlands center plaza. the christmas tree is already up, and has been for a while. that's just ridiculous.
