    1) The reason you got an attitude was due to the fact that I am extremely conscientous about picking up after my dog, but I had used the one bag in my pocket further up the trail. You spouted off as I turned to pick a new bag at the dispenser 5 FEET AWAY!! But I very much appreciated YOUR self-righteous attitude, assuming I was guilty of anything before being sure of it.

    2) I was behind your house because another gentleman walking his Doberman was following me on the trail, and I wanted to get off the trail to avoid a confrontation with his dog. That is when I walked behind your row and saw the horrendously tall grass your three neighbors have obviously neglected to cut. And BTW, that is all common area behind there. At no time did I EVER cross into someone's property -- that would be trespassing. Again, I was perfectly in my rights to walk my dog there. And knowing we are now such good friends, may continue to do so just to spite you.

    3) I appreciate the mature name calling in your rant -- Jackhole, D'wad?? What are you, 16 years old? If you don't mind I will borrow your signature line: "Do not curse anyone." Not a big fan of practice what you preach, huh?

Good luck selling your house. Don't let the door from the moving truck hit you in the ...

It's not me.. I sold my Z. But it's still a sports car.. one with an amazing racing pedigree no less as well.

I harassed everyone else with my Z. But IMO.. complaining about people driving by your house really should remain 'unsaid'.

Well...If you have "little ones" or babies, if you will, sometimes the noise isn't called for at that HOUR in the AM....I recall when I was younger that there was a particular car that always made A LOT of noise at that HOUR of the AM or LATE at night...Well, the cops eventually ticketed the owner of the car for "making" such a LOUD racket...Noise ordinance, I guess, was in effect. Needlessly to say, the owner had to take the car's exhaust system to be fixed to be compliant.

Im more sensitive to families that have young kids because they do need their sleep that early in the AM or LATE at night.

I'm not complaining about driving by my house, that is an absurd notion and I'm not that crazy.

I am complaining about his stupid aftermarket muffler that is freaking LOUD. At 5:38AM when this yahoo drives by, it rattles my windows and wakes up my family. And that should be "said" considering there is a noise ordinance that addresses after-market parts which make cars obnoxiously loud.

Next week I'll obtain his license plate # and email it to Sgt Nuggent (incidentally he is the one who informed me about the noise ordinance and if caught it is a ticket-able offense). As I said to earlier, this driver has awakened my family too many times, so game on.

You mean when the person has to goto work? You act like he/she is out partying and ruining everyone else's sleep. The person is obviously going to work if lilpea says they go by every day at nearly the same time.

Again with the time.. I'm sure it's when they goto work. I bet they wish it were another time themselves too!

It's not a noise ordinance - there is VA motor vehicle code on exhausts which only states 'excessive noise'. It's entirely vague and often used by the police often when they have no other offense they can qualify.

Try having someone with a big harley on your street... (and with little kids too Capricon.. you act like everyone here has no experience) and its even worse. Bikes need to warm up :)

    :violin:

If people want total isolation - they shouldn't live on the main throughfare through a major subdivision.

Sometimes there are things people should just realize there are more disruptive things that people are INTENTIONALLY doing.. then having to get up early to goto work.

I don't know dude, when I see someone walking behind the houses (where no one else in 10 years has gone to walk their dog) and lingers for more than 5 minutes, it creeps me out. That plus you were looking at the houses to the point where you looked like a creeper.

When your dog pooped, you had a rather nonchalant stroll down the path with no direct apparent interest in the dog station. I asked a simple question "Are you going to pick that up" to which was answered with "are you going to mow your lawn, oh I am sorry that was your neighbor. Hey stay there, look at me, I want to make sure you see me pick this up. See I am picking this up ... (insert several minutes of snarky comments from the martyr "POLAR" here.)

Here's the thing, several others saw this and agree that you acted like a D-BAG (OOOOO I am 16!!!!) and had no intention of picking it up. Me thinks he doth protest too much.

And to dispel any more myths about me, I do have dogs, so no hate on that front.

By the way, anyone's yard issues are not your business. FYI, a death in the family (mother) was involved and with travel, the yard was not tended to. Feel like a big man now?

And I do feel free to curse those that act in a manner in which deserved, as the universe gets that.

    HUGS!!!!

One More thing: Thank you SO MUCH for wishing me well in my move. I finally get to live with my husband after nearly five years apart so that my daughter can live near her father and graduate from her high school with her friends. Where am I moving may you ask? A house on the beach in South Florida (no mortgage!).

So again, Thank you for your well wishes,

You are probably correct that there is a DMV code, however there is a noise ordinance applied to motor vehicles.

    From Loudoun County's Codified Ordinance:

    654.02 UNREASONABLE NOISE.

    (b) Prohibition. No person shall make, continue, or cause or permit to be made or continued, any excessive, unnecessary or unusually loud or otherwise unreasonable noise, which annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of other persons in the County.

    (2) Operating, using or permitting the operation or use of a steam engine or combustion engine, including, but not limited to, motor vehicles, motor boats and tractors, between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, in such a manner as to disturb the peace, quiet, repose or comfort of neighboring inhabitants...

    Here is the entire Ordinance:

Oh yes! You also owe an apology to the poor kid on the razor scooter who was a few feet from you and who sat paralyzed for a good two or three minutes after your rave out. You scared him. Good job!

and some people have too much time on their own hands and do nothing but judge others. :blahblah: Until you or your child are awoken in the early morning hours by a car's (after-market) exhaust system you have no room to make judgements.

Newsflash.....it's the unsaid thread, you know where people can complain.

It's nice to see your snakiness and judgmental attitude towards people on this forum hasn't changed, you're consistent, I'll give you that for what ever that's worth.

@ lilpea: I could probably point you in the direction of a couple neighbors with Harleys and assorted crotch rockets. Perhaps they could be contracted to dish out a little 'sound' warfare. :devil2:

Disclaimer: The CAPS lost tonight and didn't throw a single punch in that game to mix it up, so I'm feeling a bit mischievous at the moment. Only solace was joyfully watching the Flyers take a major drubbing at the hands of Boston.

Nothing could be as bad as my slacker neighbors in our previous townhome. A dodge Neon with aftermarket exhaust :screwy:, and a high wattage sound system adjacent to our master bedroom (at least it wasn't next to our kids' rooms). It took a fairly aggressive confrontation during a full blown 'frat party' to get the point across, but it worked for the most part. What little noise we put up with now is a welcome relief from that garbage.

Yes, the HD and CR are bad, but it's not as bad as the late night drag races on Demott, Friday, Saturday night, in the summer, it's like a NHRA weekend out there behind the housed in Southern Walk.

I guess you don't really understand that this is a family-oriented community and you probably don't have little kids if you feel that we shouldn't be living on the main throughfare through a major subdivision as you stated. First of all, I support lilpea's assertion that she has a right to peace and quiet at that hour of the morning (before 6 AM!). Secondly, that driver with aftermarket mufflers bought the muffler most likely to generate louder noise to "show off" to everyone that he's a "BIG" man on campus.

If people want to own cars that makes LOTS of annoying and loud noise at that hour of the morning (or evening), then why don't they MOVE out to Manassas (or further south) where it pretty much fits in with the environment there.

Until then, its useless to get you to UNDERSTAND the rest of us and why we need peace and quiet at that time of the day. Maybe you need to bone up on the county ordinances/statutes to UNDERSTAND that excessive noise at that hour of the AM isn't allowed. PERIOD.

I told Pea...when kaos and I lived in a group house as COLLEGE students, we never had loud parties to bother our Neighbors, but we did let them know when we were having a party. Again, after we were married, we lived in a townhouse development.

In both cases, there was one teen that had a souped up VW bug with loud or no mufflers. Even at that early age of our lives it bothered us. The place we lived for awhile after we got married? Not only did that teen drive another overly loud VW BUG, he and his mom (she was divorced) lived right across the street. He always had super loud parties that spilled out to the front of the townhouse, when she was away - sometimes until 2am. That loud, thumping music came right through our crap windows and kept us awake.
Many times the cops came to shut them down, and finally, for some reason I don't remember, he was taken away in cuffs. The next day, we finally saw his mom show up to the house.
Many people at that time had infants and toddlers. We swore we'd never buy another house in a place if we saw an old bug in the driveway...
