As long as we're on the subject of smokers....why do they ALL have to huddle around the front door of anything - office buildings, malls, etc. I really don't want to have to breath in their smoke pollution when I pass them. I've actually resorted to holding my breath!

 

Consideration for others never really factored in to the equation. I mean, until laws were passed and enforced, years ago you couldn't even enjoy a nice meal in a restaurant without being inundated by second-hand smoke.

 

You could if the owner of the establishment prohibited smoking , which was always their prerogative.

 

Don't dis the starlings. They eat japanese beatle grubs out of your grass.

 

A stop sign is a STOP sign, not a pause, or rolling slow down. STOP!!!!! and get the f----- of the G---D---- Cell phone.

 

Code of Ethics for moms: if your kid is sick or running a fever, you are on lockdown - no play dates or asking for me to watch your babies so you can go out to dinner. Jeez.

I don't appreciate having to fight bronchitis and pneumonia for two weeks and getting my own toddler sick as well, because you don't know the rules of new mommy-hood. Bad mommy Bad.

 

People who drive around you just to get in front of you to make a turn!

 

Or people who just have to pull in front of you and then drive very slowly.

 

People who do not drive the speed limit or are otherwise distracted to pay attention to their own driving.

These are the same people who have 50 car lengths in front of them during rush hour!

 

If you're not passing, STAY TO THE RIGHT!

 

Or as my beloved Marianne is want to say

"If you are going to putz along at only 10 miles over the speed limit, get in the slow lane where you belong!"

My peeve today is moms who take ALL of their kids with them to ONE kid's activity (which in and of itself isn't the issue) but then proceeds to get deep into conversation with another mom with ALL of her kids at an activity for ONE kid, and then the other moms around them end up having to watch ALL of their kids just to keep them from hurting everyone sitting around them.... I know you just want a break or adult conversation sometimes, but WATCH YOUR OWN KIDS LADIES!!!!

 

traffic doesn't normally bother me but, someone did that to me yesterday, i was annoyed!

 

Parents who come to the Nature Center and: don't supervise their children or make them tidy up when done; leave food and drinks behind; leave dirty diapers in the trash cans even though there are signs saying, "Please do not leave dirty diapers in the trash".

 

Oh that is so disgusting :eww:

 

Hewlett Packard had my laptop in for repairs for 2 weeks and when it was returned to me the screen didn't come on at all! It was at least *working* when it was sent to them (the screen would get distorted if you didn't jiggle it around just right)! Now it will be another week to wait and see if they truly FIX it this time. What kind of compensation should I get?

 

A few limbs or digits would be expected.

Ahh, yes...the California Roll...adopted by many NOVA drivers.

 

This is a really bad habit to have, not to mention a bad example for your kids if they're in the car. I've almost been hit a couple times because of this when I'm walking. When I was a teenager, I also failed my road test, not once, but twice because I already had that awful habit. SO - I'm now VERY disciplined about stopping at a all stop signs and I know I irritate people behind me too because they honk if I stop.

 

Sometimes I linger at a stop sign just a little TOO long to tick off those behind me that I can tell are ready to roll right through it.
