If the storm turns this way, it could be too dangerous for kids to be out. Wondering what people think about moving Broadlands Trick or Treating to Friday the 2nd?

Hey, that's fine with me. I'd rather not do it on a school night anyway.

as long as everyone is prepared for trick or treaters on BOTH nights... there will be hundreds that don't get the word no matter HOW well the info is put out there. :pumpkin:

and that's the start of a very long weekend so you'll get the "but we're going out of town friday!" crowd that will hate the idea.

I doubt anyone will be out trick or treating if we have 40-50mph winds and driving rain (again depending on storm track). I sure wouldn't want anyone to be out.

I like the idea of switching it. If we did, I wonder if it would be possile to put signs out in the neighborhood similar to those for Broadlands Live. It's probably too late to have nice plastic ones, but I bet some posters boards could do the trick. Just a thought.

Absolutlely keep trick-or-treating on halloween. Of course, if the weather is bad, consider moving it, but no need to move it 5 days before we know the weather. Reevaluate on 10/31!

Yep, I wouldn't want to move it if the weather was fine. I just wanted to hear what others thought of the idea, as of this mornings post if the storm turned over us they were still calling for high winds and rain Wed.

Just wondering how would you get the word out to the whole Community? Only a fraction of the community interacts on the forums.

It would be too hard to get the word out, so we could have a Community Trunk Or Treat at the Nature Center. I can help.

I like the idea of the signs... the most practical way.. but you can't wait til the 11th hour. The issue (besides cost and acquisition) is the time the signs need to be out.. is during the storm :)
