Tree Clearing Off Waxpool

    Recently noticed tree clearing on the south side of Waxpool just east of the Greenway. Does anyone know what's going to be built there?

    It is another section of Broadlands. Last I heard it was Town house style condos, a community center and a tennis court. All of Broadlands will have access to the community building - not sure what the parameter of that will be.

    That's correct. We hope that Van Metre will have a presentation with more details about this section at the annual HOA meeting coming up.

    I really really hope they fix the roads and the stop signs around there ... maybe connect the two pieces of Shellhorn Road with Ryan Corner Place and then connect Ryan Corner Place with Ashburn Village Road. What do you think the chances are? Also, does anyone know when the widening of Waxpool Road in this area will be started/completed? Thanks!

    Call/Write the Board of Supervisors and beat on them - thats the only way anything is going to get done and move forward. And even thats a long shot!

    I was wondering the same thing. Thinking that closing off Ryan Corner Place at Waxpool (and removing that stop sign by the In-and_out mart) and re-routing it either onto Shellhorn and/or Ashburn Village Blvd. would make complete sense. Then, maybe moving the stop sign on Waxpool from Ryan Corner Place to Shellhorn if warranted.
