Trick-or-Treating

When can we expect the kiddies to start coming around?!

 

I was going to ask the same question. What are the typical expected hours of trick or treating?

 

Sundown until porchlights are out? I usually stop answering the door around 8.

 

Usually 6 (or so) until 8 (or so)

 

Anyone visiting us folks by the Nature Center????

 

150 piece bag of Costco candy... down to my last 4 pieces (oh, I ate 2 on Saturday).

 

Obviously. We had maybe 30 kids.

 

I would say that Ridgeway and side streets had A LOT of kids...100+ if I could count that quickly. All the kids were pretty good....

What do some folks think of 17/18/19 yr olds actually going door to door for candy? I'm neutral on it but curious what others think of it....

 

i am fine with it if they are in costume and polite. otherwise- they get a ROCK.

 

I'm ok with the teenagers that want to go ToT'ing (I did it too). What I don't appreciate is the ones that do it at 9:00, 9:20 and 9:41pm.

 

After 8 we turn off our light and take the outside decorations inside. no more rings after that, but we live down toward Claibrone so tirck or treating usually only lasts for one hour for us. I always over buy candy! Tried harder this time, but still had half a bowl left.

 

We had a good night of trick or treating. All the kids were respectful, kind and polite. I am fine with teenagers going out. Better to have the candy out of the house than with me. Plus, my little ones like seeing them all dressed up (some of them are quite creative). I had a few after 8:00 but no more after 8:15 and I live on Ridgeway by Stone Hollow which can be busy.

 

I second the motion here...but I often wonder if thats why quite a bunch of cars/houses got hit with eggs due to the fact that they didn't get their "treats"???
