Has anyone ever had issues with Walgreens Pharmacy??

I've finally had enough frustration with them over the last two weeks with them that my doctor highly recommended I go to Harris Teeter going forward because they no longer trust Walgreens and neither do I!

My doctor's office has sent over the same prescription three times and Walgreens, each time, has told me they never got it. After calling my doctor three times, they were fed up with Walgreens and told me that they had sent it from the first day to TWO different pharmacies - One with Walgreen and the other around the corner, Harris Teeter.

Walgreens staff seems to be very disorganized and can't even find my prescriptions at all- My doctor even CALLED THEM while I was on the phone with my doctor and told me that they worked it out with Walgreens...But when I get there, they claimed that they don't have it. This happened to several of my prescriptions. I finally lost my patience with them after two weeks and told them that they lost my business (Pharmacy / non-pharmacy)...I went right to Harris Teeter afterwards and they were ready from day one plus the staff was VERY helpful and professional. I asked them if they were getting prescription transfers from Walgreens because of customer frustrations and they said yes-- Seems that their line also moves faster than Walgreens. Walgreen's seem to focus more on people that go through the drive-in than in-store lines. While I was at Walgreens for the last time, they had a customer arguing with the store manager because he was angry that the pharmacy couldn't manage their business very well.

After looking through their Yelp reviews....I am glad I switched pharmacies as it will be much better going forward.

You're much better off at Harris Teeter. I used to work for Walgreens on the pharmacy side and it is quite a poorly run company. I'd say at least half of the staff had no idea what was going on or how to do the job. Tons of turnover too, which is usually a bad sign.

No wonder! Makes perfect sense now- I recall a few of them had to get the pharmacist’s help because they didn’t know what to do-
