Hello all, and Merry Christmas. I tried to drop in today and keep getting HTTP Error 403--Forbidden, on a page that says "You are not authorized to view this page". If I've been banned, I think somebody would have sent a message saying so, and I wouldn't be able to log in. Is something happening to the site, or am I out of here? Let me know, and have a great holiday everybody.

I also haven't been able to open the home page, and I emailed the webmaster this morning about it.

The page should work now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We're reorganizing files on the web site, and the file that takes you from http://hoa.broadlands.org to the actual homepage somehow got lost in the shuffle.

Thanks, you also. I obviously knew that you weren't locked out or you wouldn't have been able to post your question. But, I did enjoy myself... :D

What's going on with the website? My bookmark takes me to the Developer/Builder Broadlands website and the forums have been AWOL all day.

We noticed this over the weekend. The issue was due to someone upstream to us (the folks responsible for the developer's IT) having accidently removed a 'DNS' entry which we need. Basically, think of it as an entry in an address book that tells your browser where our web server is when you type 'hoa.broadlands.org'. Turns out that it was pointed to the developer's main site instead of ours by mistake. As you can see, the problem has now been resolved, but it can take up to 48 hours for the change to 'propogate' across the internet, so some folks might still not be able to get here...

Sorry for the issue, but it was totally outside of the Technology Committee's responsibility. We *did* make quite a few frantic phonecalls in order to get it fixed though :). We'd also like to thank members of the HOA Board for their assistance in this matter...

The final thing to keep in mind is that our site is located at http://hoa.broadlands.org Please do NOT add 'www.' in front of that, or you WILL be sent to the developer's site instead... We'll try to get this resolved also...

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this 'downtime'

Mr. or Miss or Mrs. Admin. :)

I don't think anyone knows where this site is anymore.

The above address does not work on my computer still takes me to the Developers site. I found this site again from google.

    Thanks

Lee, make sure you don't put a www in front of it. It just worked for me :)

I'm gonna reuse this thread for another question on the HOA site. :)

I'm not sure how the calendar or news on the main part of the site are done, but is it possible to get an rss/atom feed for those two? Since they don't seem to change that often, I don't remember to look, so it would be nice to have a feed for each so things would appear in my reader when stuff is added.

If you're a HOA homeowner, you will want to check the ArmstrongConnect site, as that calendar/News area will be updated by the HOA Staff regularly.

this type of functionality will be better on the new server slated for next year. The CRM system should allow RSS.

Same request holds for there. :)
(although right now that's pretty much blank, so the HOA site has more info at the moment) :)

Give it time ... it only went live, and the staff is still learning its way around.

Hang in there - we're in the process of moving to a new platform as well as a new provider. Sorry for the downtime, the problems are all at our providers level.
