I would like to ask those of you who are gardening/landscaping pros what maintenance services I should get. I just had about half an acre of sod and 50+ Green Giant Arborvitae tree installed and my landscaping company suggests the following:

    1. Mowing (30 visits per year).
    2. 5 rounds of crab grass control, weed control and fertilizer per year (early spring, late spring, summer, early fall and late fall).
    3. Grub control.
    4. Lime.
    5. Power core aeration (only on old turf).
    6. Over seed turf, including starter fertilizer.
    7. 8 monthly garden visits (weed/stick removal, light pruning, etc.)
    8. Integrated pest management (control of mites, scales, beetles and other insections).
    9. Shrub and tree fertilization.
    10. Leaf cleaning (1 visit, late fall).

Are these all useful or necessary services to maintain my turf and trees in good condition?
