I've heard some rumors of a teacher being fired, then reinstated and the board being ousted or resigning? This being preschool registering time for the next school year and all, I was just curious about what was going on there?

Our family is an alumni for WTP so I do not have the full story but think that the process of a co-op worked the way it is suppose to and this is the 1st time any such disruptions have occurred in the history of the school.
My understanding is a teacher decided to get creative in documenting in service training. The President and board at the time did not like the way it happened, felt they were wronged and fired the teacher and admin. Since this is a co-op and the parents are in charge the parents group was not happy with the boards reaction and over turned the decision and because of the disagreement a new board was appointed. I know if you hear rumors it can sound bad but to me this just shows that the co-op process really does work.

As a complete side note: this is why it is so important that you know who it is that you are voting for in any position from Preschool, to HOA to county, state and federal levels.

Wow. That sounds like bedlam. I was the president of a parent co-operative run daycare board and I'd like to see those by-laws.

Considering it took less then a week to get it all straightened out I think it went very smoothly. From what I was told the bigger problem was the board was not following through with the bi-laws which is what caused the whole fiasco.
