Had to have been a different day. The parking lot was evenly covered with a heavy amount of salt. I used the term "dumping" to mean a lot of product used, not literally product dumped in one spot.
And my point is why was anything done and the HOA charged for a dusting of snow.

We've already cut back on that as well.

That is part of our contract. They are suppose to be here waiting and as I remember that snow they were calling for a lot of icing not just a dusting of snow. The great part about the way we wrote the contract is the HOA does not pay ANYTHING until they start spreading or put a plow down. And again they did not charge us for that salt because it was a truck error not them trying to spread.

Tom never called me back, but the voicemail must have worked. Just saw the plow go by for the first time @ 8:30 this morning.

Are other communities paying snow "plowers" more money than Broadlands? Where are they?

My b1tch is that these plows just push the snow into our driveways. They push actually very little out of our street. They really just move it sideways into our driveways. RIDICULOUS!!:angryfire:

    You are kidding right?

Snow plows EVERY WHERE have ALWAYS pushed the snow to the side of the road and ALWAYS leave a trail in EVERY driveway. They do not have the time nor do WE have the money to pay them to plow out every individual driveway on EVERY street they plow.

Get a shovel, go do YOUR job and enjoy the snow.

Are we going to be plowed sometime today or tomorrow? I haven't seen a plow on our street at all yet.

If you live on a VDOT street like me, I'm not expecting to see a plow until Monday.
If it stops snowing by morning, there's a possibility of being plowed by tomorrow night, but I doubt it.
Residential side streets are the LAST priority.

My gosh, when we have 4-6 inches of snow the plows come multiple times beginning before dawn. We expected to see one before 6am but since that didn't happen I cannot imagine a truck with a plow being able to make it through the street (now) without getting stuck.

This snow is easy to drive in if you take it easy you can plow right through it.

wow patience people... we've had 7" of snow just this afternoon alone - on top of the foot that fell before.

Look at the major highways - even WITH traffic and plows they can't keep them clear.

Even the main roads aren't going to be bearable until late Sunday - residential streets are going to be a long way off.

Even for the HOA streets getting plowed, plowing this much snow is going to take longer then it does when it's only 2-3". Stop worrying about it anyways - it's not like having your street clear helps you at all when the main roads are impassable.

Just chill out and do what you can to help your neighbors. Whining over 'wheres my plow' really doesn't achieve much - wake up and look around at the scope of whats happening here.

Kudos to the contract plow guys, they spent an hour here on Autumnwwod Square, and the neighborhood looks great!

Loudoun County schools closed Monday & Tuesday, in case you haven't heard.

"Where the heck are the snow plows"?

You must have just moved here. You won't see a snow plow until Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest.

Our street was plowed, maybe even more than once from the looks of it. Broadlands should see who the Village uses because I'm pretty sure it wasn't plowed by our neighbor this time. Still, I haven't gone out on the roads today to know if it even matters considering the condition of the other roads.

The snow plow on Wesley Terrace has been at it for more than an hour and getting stuck in the process. I think he's also trying to figure out WHERE to put the snow just as the homeowners are. The only area left to put the snow is out in the street! So much for teeny tiny townhouse yards...

I'm guessing the Village is all VDOT by now. So, it's probably one of their contractors. Luck of the draw...

I just looked it up and my street (and the connecting street) is VDOT. The HOA is still responsible for about 95-100 streets, though. I wonder if they were plowed.

Yep, the HOA plows were out early today. They did a great job on our street.
