With the linksys, I had problems with it loosing connection to the bridge. I swapped it out and have been good since. If you have the ip for your bridge, you might want to try to trace through where the loss is, i.e. hit your linksys, then bridge, then tower. This is only to see were the problem is occuring.

For me, it looks like the lost is on the other side of the tower. My pings to my router, bridge, and tower - 209.183.200.16, are good. Just on the otherside is where the packet loss occurs.

Anyone else crapping out this morning? I know they say weather is not supposed to impact service, but I am getting 40% packet loss at the tower. With this mornings news it is essential for me to be online, so this is having a real impact on me.

hmmm....maybe I ought to get dialup for the speed increase.

Connection is reasonable right now, but not meeting my expectations or even coming close to half of what I am paying for.

Same issue though of any bandwidth intensive apllication killing the connection. A simple speed test grinds things to a halt as is evidence by this:

Having issues again on this end. Sent another email to Khalil. This problem needs to be identified and I want specific information regarding how they are addressing it.

I am willing to put up with some random failures, but connection failure has been the norm, not the exception the past two weeks.

I am unhappy to report that my connection is still unusable with 20% packet loss and stalling out to failure everytime I try to surf the web. I have critical mail I am trying to get out and it just can't keep a connection to send a 1 meg attachment.

Pretty miserable right now. If anyone has heard from Khalil, please post.

I heard from him, according to him, Im the cause of everyones problem....LOL. So my speeds were throttled back from 1024/512 to 256/128 at 1am sunday morning, with no valid reasoning or proof of me as the legitimate source of the problem. I remember a similar thing happening to someone else earlier this year. So I shut down my router at about 9pm Monday to show that im not the cause of the network wide problems. I also showed via screenshots that I dont have the "claimed" virus he suspects i have (long story), but Im clean guys. Apparently the problem hasnt gone away since I shut down my router....hmmmmmm.

A commercial network needs to be resilient enough to not fail due to the activity of one user. I am still having problems. He sent me a virus alert as well, but it was not applicable, as I am not even running a microsoft on my network (all mac and linux).

Obviously, you weren't the issue as right now, my connection is the worst it has been. Even worse than worse as my wife us trying to get online to pay bills so she is not happy with my failure to provide internet access for her.

    Hey, I was thinking...

Didn't most of these 'serious' issues start happening once our temperatures dipped below freezing?

Could some of Khalil's equipment be sensitive to 'environmental' conditions, such as sub-freezing temperatures, etc? Maybe it's not rated for 'outdoor' use??

Could be, but I kind of doubt it. I know it has happened before on warm days and nights also. Plus I know that Khalil 'fixed' the problem somehow from remote (within 20 minutes) when I gave him a call a couple of times.
