(edit) Pings are normal (low 20s) to Yahoo right now, but everything else seems slow. Going to try and load a few speed tests.

Was finally able to finish a speed test, it wouldn't finish earlier. Seems fine now.

I sure am. Got kicked out of DAOC once already from the connection dropping. I can't even get the speed test to finish. It hangs up - which means the upload is hosed yet again. Lets both email Verolan about this. I'm only getting a 4% packet loss, however.

(edit) So much for emailing them now. Yahoo mail won't even come up, it just times out. Yeesh.

the problems are becoming more frequent and more severe lately. The last time I called about it, I was told I was the only one w/the problem, which is the same thing that was told to you....:)
I am seeing the problems mostly in the evening and Sundays. Dont ask why, kind of strange. Tonight my downloads were crap, but uploads were about 10% higher than ever, even over my limit. Not sure what that is about....oh well.
Right now things seem normal. I know for his network monitoring, some problems have to occur for a set length before he gets notified.

We need to make sure that every time problems come up we email Khalil at Verolan (khalil@verolan.com). I emailed him this morning now that I can get to Yahoo again this morning. It's been fine since the 16th for me.

Khalil replied about the 26th. He said there were no problems with the circuit I was on.

well there is a problem and he needs to find out what is goin on. Its becoming too commonplace. I hear that all the time from him too.

What is your traceroute to Yahoo? I'm wondering if we're on the same circuit (I'm guessing all of Broadlands is on the same one considering we all seem to have the problem at the same time).

Yeah but that is worthless. I only say that because Openband is violating contractual obligations, I see a class action lawsuit in the very near future as more and more Southern Walk homes open and more people move in. They put things in writing that are not true. The next year should be interesting, if we get enough support from our fellow residents - we can apply the screws to them. But options are always nice.

Yes, I noticed it also. Trying to download some large files and it's taking forever.

i had issues last night. I was getting over 220+ ms to my 2nd hop. I sent Khalil an email last night. I was on at 10pm and had the problem for most of the time I was on. AT times I was hitting 400-500ms to the 2nd hop.

    Must be me, then:

    2003-12-03 12:33:03 EST: 99 / 4
Your download speed : 99162 bps, or 99 kbps.
    A 12.1 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 4639 bps, or 4 kbps.
Your connection hardly qualified as broadband, at least in that test

I'm at work, it had looked like it was ok. But doing a quick test on my web server with a file to upload I'm only getting 9-10K/sec. Pings are stable at 22-24ms to Yahoo with no packets lost.

    Here I go again:

    2003-12-06 22:08:38 EST: 20 / 38
Your download speed : 20128 bps, or 20 kbps.
    A 2.4 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 38496 bps, or 38 kbps.

And that's with 18-20% packet loss. Anyone else??

Same here. Was doing some work online, pages have been very slow to load even with normal surfing. Got sick of that, went to play Dark Age of Camelot for a few minutes, got kicked off twice from packetloss. Did a test after coming here to see if it was just me.
