We have noticed that our floor is starting to slope (house settling) - anyone find this same issue with their wood floors - there are gaps between some of the planks, how could this problem be fixed? Right now - not too noticible but there is that potential.

speckhard, have you had your 1st year warranty work thru yet?
builder will usually take care of all minor and major problems at that time. We had molding problem by the foyer, so the builder came by and install the brand new dry wall... call the warranty department and see what they say..

No we have not had our walk thru (annual) - but we were also told they won't fix cracks in your basement floor unless they are larger then 1/4" which would lead me to believe they won't do it for your floor either. I will check. We also have door issues - laundry door no longer closes, and the pantry door is too hard to open.

Not sure about the basement floor as our basement came finished. As for the hard wood floor, I think they should definately take care of the hardwood floor as it's in your main level and was finished by them, but I could be wrong. I also had problems with doors too. lundry door and the master badroom door,, was all fixed at the 1st year warranty work. Be firm with the warranty department. I was such a pain in the butt with our warranty department that they know me by my first name :D.. but also got everything fixed,,(I had them come 3 times for our 90 days warranty work and 2 times for the 1 year warrant work.) except for the new cracks but according to other home owners, that's the sign that our house is settling,,,
