I would like to start taking Yoga so I am a complete beginner. I would prefer not to take a class that is in a heated room. Any suggestions on a good Yoga studio in Ashburn or close to Ashburn?

I take beginners yoga at Sport & Health in Brambleton with Melissa. She's fantastic - talks you through every move and doesn't expect you to know anything in advance. I know a membership can be pricey but you get unlimited classes and can try out different instructors and do other stuff in the gym. I think they are having open (aka free trial) classes next week. If you prefer one-on-one my neighbor up the street practces in her in-home studio and I can get you her info if you like.

My wife goes to Inner Power Yoga in Sterling and loves it. I can put you in touch with her if you want to talk about it.

Melissa is my yoga instructor - I take both her group classes, small group classes, workshops and also private instruction. You can find her on FB under Brambleton Yoga. I had tried yoga 10 years ago and was completely intimidated by the studio and the instructor. I had been really interested in it for a long time and wanted to try again, but I couldn't shake my initial experience. Then I met Melissa and now I love it. I've made a lot of progress with her and I'm excited to keep practicing. She teaches at both Sport & Health and the Gold's Gym in Sterling.

It is heated, but hands down cannot recommend enough Flow Yoga in Leesburg (they also have one class per day in Ashburn,,,, which is not nearly as heated.)
