Hi, I’m Isabelle Gallagher, a junior at TJ High School for Science and Technology, an Eagle Ridge Middle School alum, and a lifelong Broadlands resident.

We’re holding the first ever Loudoun County Middle School Hackathon on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Eagle Ridge Middle School.  It’s a day long activity for students to learn coding in teams and work together to solve coding challenges, develop apps, and learn from each other and the coaches.  We’re strongly encouraging beginners to give coding a try in a supportive environment.

It’s important for kids to be exposed to coding early, before they think either they can’t code or wouldn’t like it.  The hackathon is an opportunity for that.

Registration is free, but space is limited.  For information and registration, go to www.loudouncodingclub.wix.com/coding. For questions, email loudouncodingclub@gmail.com.
