The HOA assessments paid by Courtyard, Overland Park and Park Glenn homeowners include turf maintenance services, provided by Heritage Landscape Services (HLS). Important: Park Glen Villas lawns will be treated only in the areas not enclosed with fencing. Courtyard Homes (Overland Park and Southern Walk) entire lawns will be treated, including fenced areas as long as they are kept unlocked. Access must be available. Gates that are locked, in disrepair, or difficult to open will not have the backyards/courtyards serviced until access is available. HLS is not responsible for fencing, siding, air condition units/platforms, or structural elements of homes. HLS is not responsible for perennials, plantings and annuals installed by the homeowner. This service does not include bed weeding or dead plant removal or other items not described within the scope of services. HLS is not responsible for irrigation, lighting, invisible fencing or any other personal utilities that are not clearly marked.
NEW! Sign Up to Receive Email Notifications Instead of Mailed Letters! The HOA offers to send email notices in lieu of mailing letters to notify you of landscaping treatments that occur throughout the year. This will allow us to quickly notify you of any changes to the treatment dates in case of inclement weather or alert you of any concerns related to landscape services. If you choose to receive notifications via email, you will no longer receive mailed letters. Please send all emails that you would like included in our landscape notifications to: firstname.lastname@example.org (Please be sure to include your name and address).
On Friday, March 3, 2017, the HOA Office and Nature Center will have limited hours from 9:00am – 12:00pm for Employee Appreciation Day.
Concrete Jack will be performing repair work on HOA owned sidewalks to raise and support or grind down concrete as appropriate, to reduce trip hazards. They are scheduled to be on site from Monday, February 20th-Thursday, February 23rd. We do not anticipate any significant interruptions in sidewalk access. Detailed information on the process can be found on their website at http://concretejack.com/sidewalk-repair/. These repairs are both environmentally friendly (uses existing concrete rather than removing, discarding of, and repouring old concrete) and cost efficient.
Trees are an integral part of the overall image and character of Broadlands and must be protected. You are required to obtain approval from the HOA before you can remove trees from your property. Prior to applying, please check your survey plat to verify that the tree is on your property. Tree stumps must be removed below ground level and the area reestablished.

As a new service to the community, we are offering full-day Nature Center Adventures on Monday holidays. We know everyone doesn’t get the day off; and if the kids have a holiday from school it should be fun and memorable. The programs will be held outdoors as much as possible, dress accordingly. Grades 3rd-5th have the opportunity of doing animal care training and becoming part of our Youth Naturalist program. All participants will take part in animal care, nature learning, scavenger hunts; learning through creating, and games. Hours for this program are the same as the school, 7:45am – 2:45pm, with options to lengthen if needed. Price per day is $50.00 with a reduction of $40.00 per child if multiple children are enrolled. These programs include all of the materials, but none of the food (please send a packed lunch with your child). The ratio of instructor to participants will never be greater than 1:12, 24 students maximum. Youth Naturalist interns will be present to support animal care training and interactions as well as to facilitate team games.
IF WE DO NOT GET A MINIMUM OF 8 PARTICIPANTS, THE PROGRAM WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO THE PROGRAM DATE.
The HOA Offices and Nature Center will be closed on Friday, December 30th and Monday, January 2nd for Christmas.
