Just a reminder that local Boy Scouts will be around tomorrow morning, Sat. 11/9, to collect donations in their Scouting for Food drive.
Please have your nonperishable food donations out front by 9am.
    Most requested items include:
canned soup, vegetables, fruits and proteins
    multigrain cereal
rice, oatmeal, mac & cheese, other grains
other: paper plates, napkins, hygiene products
    Thank you!

I try to include can meats, canned sandwich spreads, canned beans, instant oatmeal, spaghetti o's and anything small hands can manage on their own when left to defend themselves. Powdered milk is another underrated item that should be on the most requested list but it is quite expensive and it's difficult to find the Carnation brand with individual quart size packets.

Excellent suggestions, KTdid. Anything not breakable, not perishable, and an added bonus, as you say, are items that little ones can manage on their own. Cub Scouts will be out tomorrow morning to pick up your donations, which will be donated to Loudoun Interfaith. Sadly, there are many, many folks in need at this time. Your generosity is appreciated.
