Hi. My husband and I are fairly new to the area and want to start trying to conceive. Does anybody know of a local, good OB GYN that they could refer? Thanks so much! :)

Loudoun OB/GYN here, as well. Dr. Thompson delivered my son and number two is on the way!

I know a lot of people love Loudoun OB/GYN and have gotten good care there. Just wanted to offer another opinion. I saw the dr.'s in that practice during my 3rd pregnancy. I found them to be impersonal and the care to be rather generic.

I would've liked to go to Loudoun Community Midwives (http://www.lcmidwives.com.) However, they do not take patients who have had a prior c-section. I have heard wonderful things about them, and may see them as a GYN patient when I am done having kids.

I would recommend interviewing any OB/GYN for your own comfort, but I am beyond satisfied with my doctor: Angela Bess http://www.womenscenterofloudoun.com/. She's a very down to earth doctor that has a calm demeanor. I also appreciate the ability to be able to email her office and receive a response within 24 hrs if I don't want to place a call. I'm not sure if she still offers it, but when I was pregnant with my 1st, her office offered Saturday appointments a few times a month. Also, the office is open later in the evening a few days a week for those that work. Her follow-up care post baby was so personal and caring. I can't say enough about my experience with her and her staff.

I highly, highly recommend Dr. G. Neil Foster-44055 Riverside Pkwy Ste 238
    Leesburg, VA 20176
    (703) 858-3070

It's him, a nurse and the receptionist. His office is right at Loudoun Hospital near the birthing inn. I was recommended to him by my neighbor and he delivered my 2nd child. My 1st child was delivered by Women's Physicians of NOVA and were affiliated with Reston Hospital I wasn't that happy.

    Good Luck

I second Dr. G. Neil Foster! He delivered both of my daughters (2nd one is just 4 months old now). He is a very easy going doctor. Always smiling. The practice is small so it gives you a very personal feeling. The receptionist and the nurse will know you by first name. He is also affiliated with the Birthing Inn, which is a great facility.
