Since moving past Rt .28 in October I have quickly become a greedway whore. I have a job where I can tack 20 miles onto my mileage to somewhat offset it, but I still lose in the end. I would feel a great deal better if my greedway tax was paid and used for additional roads in VA, but they aren't. They go to a foreign company and I will bet my left nut that whoever architected the deal got paid in the end. I hope they rot. (Disclaimer: This statement has been made with zero knowledge of fact.)

Does it go through now? Last time I tried it, it didn't go through. Where does it end up, if you start at Belmont Ridge going westbound? Is it all paved now?

It's all paved and open now. Goes from Belmont Ridge to the SE portion of the Rt 7 bypass in Leesburg.

Whups....I meant to say the private corp...Mea Culpa!! But I do believe that once the state takes over the toll road after I think I heard 25 years....VA will probably keep the tolls and collect the bonanza for themselves..I highly doubt that the greedway will ever be toll-free for the lifetime of the road...

Thanks for pointing out that I did say it but its NOT what I really meant. What I really meant was the greedway tolls was going to a private company and the Dulles Toll Road was being collected by VA State (I think so don't hold that against me as I don't wanna another mea culpa! HA!)...But in all fairness, I believe that the greedway users as well as the Dulles Toll Road users are being fleeced in the long run.
