Did anyone else see the teenager in the light blue VW Passat take out the light pole on the corner of Milford and Claiborne? Seems like the kind of incident that warrants the police being called, no? I drove by right after it happened, but it seemed that they cleared out quickly and left the light post (with exposed wires) laying on the sidewalk.

Yes It is something that should be reported to the police. If you actually saw an part of what happened PLEASE call the sheriff's office and file a report ASAP!!!! The HOA is responsible for fixing the light and the cost will be passed on to the motorist if we can find him instead of the residents. Additionally leaving the scene without reporting after causing property damage can result in a steep fine as well as suspension of drivers license.

yeah, it's a mess, the light is completely destroyed and the electrical is exposed. Hope someone got a license plate or something.

The person who struck the light has files a police report with the sheriff's office and I have placed a call to our electrician so he can make sure there are no exposed live wires.

Please do not touch anything in the area. The HOA office will make sure the light is addressed as promptly as pobbile.

Does anyone know when the light is going to be fixed?

The kids love playing on it while waiting for the bus.

    Thanks!

It is going to be a while. The way the light was sheared off we need to get a new concrete pad poured and the only company certified to do that work is back logged for months. I have been trying to get the pieces removed but apparently you need a very large truck to remove the main pole so there has been a delay.
    I am working on it

Thanks so much for your reply.

All the pieces were recently picked up.

    THANKS!
