Did anyone have Adelphia problems last week? The Sci-Fi channel kept messing up right in the middle of Battlestar Galactica, and there were problems on nights 1 and 2. The queue was so backed up with customer service, I could never even get through to complain. It's too late now to help, but I just was wondering if anyone else had the same gripe.

Chris, take a look at all the roofs across all of Broadlands and you will notice at least 75-80% of residents dropped Adelphia for satellite TV. There's a very good reason for that, and you're experiencing it now. And to top it all off, Adelphia will probably raise your rates in a couple months, yet again...

Hi! Thanks for the advice! And, yes, I am definitely not happy at Adelphia's new rates. However, I was more displeased with the satellite service that we had at our old house.

Has Adelphia gotten the self install kits working for internet access in our area yet? I'm going to buy my own modem, but would rather just hook it all up myself tonight. I used to have Adelphia a few months ago and the line was hooked up then fine at the time.

ya, when I ordered on sunday it was an option to pay for install, or have them mail me the install kit. I told them all I need is for them to hook up at the "drop-loop/drip-loop" because everything else is still hooked up as I also bought my own cable modem about 3 yrs ago. It was no problem for them. Also, they have a new sign up special. $25/mo. for 5 months on intial signup....:)
Im getting it installed tongight.....cant wait to get connectivity again.....yah!

I self installed our Adelphia high-speed internet connection a while back. It was pretty simple--took about an hour then I had to set up the wireless network, which took a little more doing! [}:)]

I have been using Powelink for about a year now. Not impressed at first but was using a Netgear modem. I just switched to a Motorola (tried from Adelphia) and the difference is immediate. I am getting 1.5/250 down and uploads now, which is a big improvement. Now I will wait for the 3 on the downloads before I sing any more good things about Adelphia.
